Debriefing the Summer Months

So, CIPS had a lunch in April, but I was unable to attend.

I've been lucky enough to spend the last 3 months working hard with F.H. Black & Company.

Spending all day working with SQL Server 2005, MySQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0 has been amazing.

Also consuming, and as a result I did not attend the April meeting. Luckily CIPS and my other organization, the Winnipeg .NET User group take a break for the summer months.

But, CIPS Winnipeg has it's AGM on August 17 on the Paddle Wheel Queen cruise boat! Boarding is at 5pm, so I hope I can go. But I usually work until 5:30 or 6 so we'll see.

In any case, the good news is CIPS Winnipeg members will be paying less for events next year; just $20 per event! Something that the announcements haven't mentioned is what students members will be paying. As a CIPS Student Member, I'd like to hear about that.

So I hope I can write a debrief in August. If not, I'm back at RRC this fall and I plan on making it to the CIPS events then (even though I'll be working 1/4 or 1/3 time with F.H. Black).
